This was the begining. A 1 room "Lodge" for wealthy guests/prospects that had traveled from afar. They were given a tour of the North Shore in the hopes they would (and usually did) buy land.
Note the large boulder that the deck is built on. You can find that same boulder today just outside the famed circle bar and to the right. The Lodge of 28 was located right were the "Indian Room" is today.
