There are 4 contributors to this chat room that feel they have all the answers. They continue to disparage any one that makes an honest attempt to shake things up, meaning make this hobby a better venue.

When responses like this show up….

A couple thoughts. 1st, as long as this hobby remains a hobby and doesn't turn into an industry, I have no problem with what prices any chips bring. 2nd, the Palms show last weekend had the best attendance and dealer participation of any non-convention show I've ever see. I wasn't a dealer, so I can't speak to sales, but if you had chips that weren't LE's that weren't moving well, perhaps you over-valued them. After all, when you are willing to pay more than anyone else for chips, how can you expect a quick return on your investment? And how does any of that relate to the current or probable future BOD of the club?

Best attendance and dealer participation.

If that was the best attendance, I'd love to know the worst. Did any one who was there see any lines to get in? Bowling balls could have been rolled and missed attendees.

Orme assumes because I pay up for chips I wish to immediately turn them for a profit. Little does he know about my collection? He has no clue as to the reason I buy what I buy, or how I work to grow the hobby.

I not going to get into a debate with any of the usual suspects, it’s a waste of time. But if anyone honestly believes this hobby, as it stands now is headed in a positive direction for the long term, IMO they are sadly mistaken.

Michael, I don’t post my thoughts on this board to put the hobby, or the new “Industry” as it's now referred to down. My intention is to make it a better place for all.

Unfortunately, when someone disagrees with someone who makes a post that has been written by the usual suspects as I refer to them, or someone like me stands up and makes a statement, they become "the bad person" who wants to ruin the hobby and only comes into it to make a buck.

Those guys can’t see the forest for the trees.
