For the vast majority of collectors, why should we be concerned if the hobby is attractive to the serious investors? I like to be able to buy the chips I like, so why would I want to be priced out of that possibility? What is the problem with the hobby being dominated by those who love the chips and not by those who look for a good investment and don't necessarily care about the chips themselves (I am not suggesting you, or any particular indivdual is like that). I ask this because of your reference to
new serious collectors with funds to invest or speculate.
