I have been mulling over in my mind many of the things for which to be thankful. But one thing keeps coming to the forefront of my mind and heart. I especially want to thank God for all my friends and acquaintances who have fought or are fighting cancer. I have a long prayer list of cancer fighters and survivors. All on the list are special to me as I know personally the reality of cancer.
I have learned, by both my own cancer and that of others close to me, that each day is a precious gift from God. I have also learned that we only need face life's troubles one day at a time. Right now I am "cancer free," but the reality is that I may need to face it again some day. If so, I can face it as I did the first time, one day at a time.
I thank all of you who post on the board what you are facing, as that lets us, although in a seemingly small way, share some of the burden with you. In the same way I thank all of you who listen to us when we express our troubles, (and our joys) on this board.
Obviously I couldn't possibly express everything for which I'm thankful, so I'll just say a very blessed Thanksgiving to all of The Chip Board contributors and lurkers.
