The Playboy/Atlantis/Trump World's Fair casino site was next to the original Boardwalk Convention Center towards Tropicana. The structure that used to house the casinos has been torn down and all that is left on the former casino site is the West Hall of the old original Convention Center which is set back from the Boardwalk itself. A new investor has purchased the property and has plans to build a non-casino high-rise hotel or condos on the property. It has been reported that Donald Trump and Steve Wynn may be interesed in re-purchasing the former Playboy/Atlantis site from the new owner if their rumored planned partnership goes through for a new mega-resort on the now occupied Trump Plaza Hotel Casino property.
