Hi Dawn. He is lucky the blood did not seep into the stomach. It happened to me a few years ago & I had to be rushed ti the Hosp. by ambulance as I had lost 4-5 pints of blood. I was in the hosp. for 8 days until they got me well enough to go home. The doctors said if I had waited another 15-30 mins, I would have passed out & deied within an hour or two. Good luck & have him watch the diet as you don't want to irritate the ulcers. Brian
