We went to the Sunday session of the auction at the Stardust. Quite a funney event. There were many on line bidders and about 200 people in attendance. Here are some of the results.
A. 12 decks of playing cards - 250.00
B. Stardust speakers podium 500.00
C. 24" round coctail table from the bar. This has the stardust name and about 6 slot tokens embedded in the top. There were about 10 of these at $2100.00 each
D. Copper clad saute pans, 5 at $130.00 each
Plated round serving trays from restaurant, no Stardust name, 5 at $70.00 each.
E. Theatre costumes and accessories ranged from 200.00 to 8500.00 which included some Lido headdresses. Most costumes were in the 500.00 range.
F. Stardust souvenir spoon. This is the type you find in a gift shop in a box with the Stardust name on the handle. Sells for about 5.95. Winning bidder bought 26 of these at 37.50 each.
G. A color picture of the Stardust from the 70's. Nicely framed but nothing great. Only $900.00.
H. Table felts went for 200.00 to 600.00 EACH. Most in the 450.00 range. The tie-dye hippy covers fetched the most at around 600.00.
I. A small sign, approx 10" x 12" which said "Single Deck 21" and a picture of the ace and king, no Stardust name, $450.00.
J. More playing cards which sold in lots of 144 decks. $600.00 per carton.
K. A frosted shot glass with the Stardust name. A lot of 40 pieces sold for $35.00 each.
In general bids were out of sight. I don't think these people will get their money out on a resale.
Many in attendance just shook their heads and chuckled. Great for the Boyd Group.
Today and tomorrow sell the furniture, kitchen equipment, maintenance materials etc.
