I too remember all those terms! Even Turtle drags! We preferred Gravity Drags though...rolling down an easy slope...just barely a slope, actually, with no engine on at all...just gravity...which meant, of course, we loaded up the cars with as many people as we could get to help the car along! *LOL*
We still have breakfast, dinner, and supper at my house...though when I talk to others "outside" about it, I often get odd looks, and my wife has to mention that when I agree to meet someone for "dinner" on Sunday, that I mean the noon meal, not the evening one ;)
And I find myself bending sometimes too, but the difference between dinner and supper will be the last anachronism I let go *LOL* It's my personal fight against The New Ways.
I have a '46 ford with Suicide Doors AND a Suicide knob.
I'm not that old either...46...but spending time on the farm growing up, and being involved with classic cars keeps you exposed to the "old words" a bit longer than city folk typically are.
