That was a good signing. Only $800,000 and Dodgers got a one year option also. Garciaparra says he dosent want to be a utility man, but would play another position. I take this to mean that if we are not able to get Aramis Ramiriz at third, we sign Garciaparra and use him there. Not a bad option. Still no work on whether Saito wants to play another year. The thing I dont understand is why we keep talking about picking up a big hitting outfielder, and only mention ones on the downhill of thier career. Never any mention of going after Andruw Jones who is supposed to leave Atlanta. Would sure be a teriffic upgrade and we would have Matt Kemp to season another year and then take Drews place.
