Gene Grossblatt bought the first set that I knew of for 2300. I waited a few months and bought my set from C.T. Rogers for 750. A few months later we learned that there were a total of 250,000 "golf course" chips and they dropped to about 350. The price held because they were owned by two guys who didn't sell cheaply. IMO they are still valued too highly due to the quantities. The only short issue was the $25,000 chip at 200 made.
