Sorry about your troubles. I'm often angry at eBay nad PayPal myself. In your case, I think you are not quite right when you say:

"eBay no longer allows DIRECT DEPOSIT (NO CREDIT CARDS) payments thru PayPal"

The new rule, that was started some months ago, says:
(1) in order to mention or advertise PayPal in your auction listing, you must have a Business PayPal account that takes all kinds of PayPal payments, including credit card-funded PayPal payments.

(2) after the auction is over, the buyers and sellers are free, in effect, to email each other and talk about paying by PayPal.
