Today’s selection is ‘Sort of’ Mexican Currency…
Amazingly, Mexico, at the beginning of the 20th Century, had no paper money that was issued by the Central Government. The nation depended on several private chartered state banks to fulfill that need. In 1914, during the now famous Mexican Revolution, the government of Chihuahua created under military decree it's own paper money for civilian use. These banknotes gained wide acceptance thru-out Mexico and the USA too. This note is a specialized 20 Peso note and I do not know what the current book value is nor is there an exchange for these as they are obsolete. ENJOY!
