Thanks, Charles. The $2.50 collection was my first specialty. I was encouraged by 2.50 collector Mel Jung in the early 90's. I kind of gave up on trying to have the "best collection" after Bob Feeney, and later Chuck Mades began collecting. They both have many more foreign 2.50's than I do, and have some of the scarce early indians. Bob showed his collection at one of the conventions and I believe it took up 8 display cases!
The Clarion comes in both long-cane and short-cane varieties, as do many of the Paul-son chips of this era.
The Carson Valley Inn is a Chipco found in both pebbled surface (original) and smooth surface (later) versions.
I've never found the Reno Horseshoe at a price I thought was right. Maybe I was wrong [g].
