You probably paid waaay too much for your scanner. I have had 2 scanners in the last 10 years or so and I have invested $60 TOTAL in them. I know the last one cost me $15 after rebates. Both of my scanners have worked perfectly with the yellows and reds. People with the $300 scanners are the ones that always seem to have the big problems. And the best news is if you do have a problem with your $15 scanner you trash it and get another one. BTW - I only got rid of the first scanner because Windows ME screwed up the TWAIN software.
