PrintEmail Article Tools Page 1 of 1 I am a 1978 graduate of UCLA and was privileged to come to the football game last Saturday. Words cannot describe how incredible your fans are. From the moment we got off of the bus, we were amazed by the reception we were given. I had heard about your hospitality, but never experienced anything quite like it.
Instead of snarls and veiled threats like at most stadiums, we were greeted with welcomes all around. A few tailgaters even thanked us for coming, thanked us for bringing the weather (when the sun appeared) and opened up their tailgates for us. After the game, several Notre Dame fans almost were apologizing for the way the game ended.
We left the game disappointed, yes, but richer for the experience. I cannot stop singing the praises of the class and dignity of the Notre Dame experience. Go Irish, my second favorite college football team!
