Scanned below is a ticket envelope that the Coast Casinos all use when they issue tickets to their showroom performances, or Arena (at The Orleans) events.
Last week, at The Orleans ticket booth (Box Office) I noticed that they were using little white stickers to cover over the South Coast name. This same practice is not being done at the Suncoast and I do not know if they are doing it at the Gold Coast or Barbary Coast.
This scan shows three views of the envelopes. The top shows the unaltered back of the envelopes, while the bottom two show an uncancelled version as well as a cancelled version.
Over the past two months, and especially the past month, I have found the Boyd presences at The Orleans to be ever increasing. Actually, I would better characterize that presence as permeating!
The Orleans is starting to look and function more as a Downtown property. The other Coast Casinos are beginning to feel the effects as well. I've also heard that 200 Suncoast employees were laid off (released) last week, with more to follow as the Stardust closes and the Barbary Coast goes to Harrah's.
Throughout The Orleans there is signage (atop the slot machines) that simply states: "CENTENNIAL". Evidently, Centennial will be the name for the project that was previously known as the "North Coast". The North Coast was to be the next Coast affiliated casino for the North side of Vegas.
