We had been hearing some pretty serious rumors coming out of Fremont Street lately regarding plans for larger than life New Years Eve party that is in the works. While no one would comment publicly, it would seem as though Direct TV, the Fremont Street Experience, and the Las Vegas Convention Visitors Authority have teamed up to produce a 4.5 televised celebration from right under the canopy that also doubles as the world’s largest LED screen. Last time we were downtown we spotted the ONE Global brain trust of Lia Rispoli and Marc Jay dining with Fremont Street honcho Jeff Victor so it certainly seems indicative of why the event has grown so much over even the previous year. The whispers we overheard include some serious heavyweight talent which would make sense since the LVCVA will be lending the ‘America’s party’ name to the downtown event that is expecting to draw close to 20,000 revelers.
