Wasn't Gibson something? I saw him live pitch once in a multi strikeout shutout. He was also an all start basketball player at Omaha U which at the time was in the North Central Conference and I watched him for three years against my South Dakota Coyotes--we had a national championship team with two "Little" All Americans but he was clearly the best player in the league.

I also remember that he and other good pitchers in the 60's and 70's actually pitched complete 9 inning games. But today few pitchers last much beyond the 6th inning.
