I have carried a small pocket knife with me everywhere for many years. Always handy to have a small blade for opening boxes or air-tite chip holders. I like the small Swiss Army knife with three blades because it also has small scissors for trimming broken fingernails and a diamond-abrasive for sanding down the trimmed nail, and for tightening screws. There is also a tweezer, and a plastic toothpick.
Since TPT, the government has deemed these to be a deadly weapon, and if I forget to put it in my checked baggage, I lose it. Have lost four so far to the airports.
Finally decided to stock up and bought a dozen from a wholesaler. Even losing one or two a year, that's more than I need. If anyone would like one to add to their keychain, I can send it along for $12.50, delivered. Your choice of red, black, or pink. These are less than 2.5 inches long and very light, and retail for $16.50.
By the way, on my way to New England last week, the Feds took my collapsible hiking staff, also deemed a deadly weapon [g]. As I've said before, I think the terrorists are winning.
