And just for the record, I've been a Yankee fan since I knew what baseball was. Lessee, that must be........well, never mind. But my childhood hero was Mickey Mantle and the great Bronx Bombers (Yogi Berra, Moose Skowron, Bobby Richardson, Billy Martin, Tony Kubek, Hank Bauer, Elston Howard, Roger Maris, Whitey Ford - ok, so he wasn't a bomber - and the list goes on. And I stayed with them through the terrible years after the good ones.

And don't be tellin' me that the only reason the Yankees are so great is Steinbrenner's megabucks. It ain't so!
