I guess I must live on Mars or something but it appears to me they only have made it illegal for US based financial institutions to do transactions with these companies.

I already don't have any credit cards that will work with Pokerstars or PartyPoker. I'm sure most of us poker players are already in this boat. Most of us already had been using non-US methods (such as Neteller) for cash in and cash out transactions....

This legislation is not written to specifically target the player. It will not more legal or more illegal for you to participate in playing poker online than it was yesterday. It is my understanding that is does not specically indicate the making wagers online as a prohibited activity...

I don't see what the big deal is...
