Bob; I sympathize with your plight. I too have problems scanning certain flourescent colors.

What I've done to overcome the poor color reproduction on some chips with my Cannon scanner is to take digital photos of the chips with colors that don't scan well and then crop them with my 'Picture It' software and they come out pretty good.
