While at the 1968 Kentucky Derby I purchase a win ticket on the horse Forward Pass.
Forward Pass came in second and was beat by Dancer's Image.
Dancer's Image pari mutual tickets were all paid at the track that day.
The next day Dancer's Image was DQ'ed due to an illegal substance in the urine sample.
This ruling went on until 1972 when it was up held by the Kentucky State Racing Commission.
Bottom line is that Forward Pass is on the Derby
glass and has the trophy, but Derby Dancer ticket holders were paid their pari mutual tickets.
