You may be right about the morale part...I'd be throwing bats by now and I know in this day and age of the pampered ballplayer, that they may not want to be seen with an old schooler like myself. And I'd also be in the players million dollar faces telling them to get their butts in gear and start playing like you want it more than any other team out there. If they can't seperate themselves from the pack then they won't go far. This "IS" the NL West here....still the weakest divison in the National League. They need to step up or step aside. And YES, when I don't like what I'm seeing, I'll always knock the Dodgers just like I do any other favorite team of mine. I don't bash teams I don't like. Gezzzzz some of you guys just watch the Dodgers world go by with blinders on, win or lose it's all good. It's not all good if they lose...it sucks!! I jumped on their bandwagon when I was kid....now I'm driving the thing...lol!
And yes Andy, I know your a Dodger fan.....one of the best from what I've seen...gezzzzz anybody who will watch a game twice can't be all bad.
You must not be from the cold states or not old enough to remember the Hot Stove League....We used to talk more about baseball in the winter than in the season. Sooooo many people gave up on baseball when the Desingated Hitter came into being. I'm just an old purists trying to hang onto something that isn't there anymore.
