Last race at Royal Ascot. All had been drinking like you do when playing poker
Horse came in 3rd on a win bet.
There was an objection/steward enquiry to the winner. Could not have affected 3rd place so we left.
Half way across the parking lot and the announcement came that 1st had been relegated to 3rd, 2nd to 1st, 3rd to 2nd.
Next the announcement the new 1st place had weighed in underweight and was DQ.
Ran back and found that garbage can and tipped it out on the floor. 4 of us spent half hour going through to find the ticket. Found it!!
