We are subject to the 'american system', which means all parties pay there own legal fees, unless statutorily part of a resolution, or part of a negotiated settlement. If the case was frivolous, and the prevailing party filed what is commonly referred to as a rule 11, then legal expenses would be paid by counsel of the non prevailing party.
