Repairs on wrecked cars may not affect value the way they would in this collectible area. I am not an expert on either, so I have trouble answering your question. Is it possible in the car scenario? It's possible, however unlikely. Is it possible in the casino chip fixing scenario? I don't think it's been tested, so no one knows. I can imagine, though, that it is certainly possible. And I have written as much in response to hypotheticals posted by Mr. Whalen in the past.
