being able to insure anything in this hobby. How can anyone say that a chip was not repaired when, as was mentioned in previous threads, they cannot be detected in an Xray? How can the slabber know how many of a certain chip were made and how many survived? A lot of those records have been destroyed or lost for ever. It has happened time and time again where there was only 1 known chip (most recently the Sunflower in Reno comes to mind) when years later boxes of uncirculated ones appear. Coins, on the other hand, have always kept records of how many were made and how many were destroyed.
