But it was well said. If I, as Joe/Joedda Blow get screwed by a club member, should it not be a valid recourse to let the club know about the screwing? I think so.
A code of ethics does not typically mean "you can screw anyone else except for club members". NO club with a valid code of ethics (IMHO) says as policy that "these rules only apply in dealings with other club members". Situational ethics deserve no place in clubs or society in general(though, Lord knows, they have them :( ).
I think it is up to the clubs' ethics director (or board) to review outsider claims just as they would an intra-club complaint. Doesn't mean they have to act on them if they are not valid, but it sure (at minimum) puts at least some semblance of propriety into the process.
