Very similar to what Steve said. At Casino du Hull, you could only buy the Jetons at the cage. They came in a little pouch. They were sold for face value and they were playable at any table.

If a Jeton ended up in the tray, you could not buy it from the dealer. They would do a credit for it right away. That is how I discovered they had Jetons.
