The Pacific Club in Honolulu opened in 1853.
It was for white people only, no natives.
Katsuto Tanaka ordered the chips in 1956 & 57 from TR King.
Not sure if Mr Tanaka was just a worker or they started allowing some natives about then.

In 1999 a very special to me, Japanese lady born and raised in HI, offered to see if she could get some current chips for me. She called 1st to see if they had any. They told her they did, and stongly hinted she should not come.
