Norm, my friend. I hope you read this.
I am sorry to see the way this dispute de-generated.
I want to make it clear that I am not taking sides. Of course Gene is a good friend and we communicate frequently but that does not by any means mean we see eye to eye on everything. Conversely we dont fall out as a result of disagreements either.
You suggested earlier that Gene's 'chip life' only consists of this bb and the convention. I can assure you that is not true.
I am neither condoning nor disagreeing with his actions but when the chip auction was posted it was clearly a joke IMO and I was even in on it.
The way the thread developed really appeared as though you was also slumping to the low and I did think Gene replied very civilly all the way through.
Im not going to bother repeating what I said elsewhere today, suffice to re-iterate that I stayed clear of a number of such threads in recent days, and if you look at the timing of the posts, you will see I only entered the proceedings today AFTER Mr Grant left me no option by mentioning me in this post
http://www.thechipboard.com/cgi-bin/tcb/tcb.pl?noframes;read=548291
Prior to that I had only made this single post in the discussion
http://www.thechipboard.com/cgi-bin/tcb/tcb.pl?noframes;read=548267
which I chose to do, as, and I am sure this is no secret to you or any other here, I am a moderator of this bb.
I could therefore have deleted anything from that thread had I so wished but I saw no reason to do so.
I guess we will disagree, but the only post in that thread I have any interest in is this one.
http://www.thechipboard.com/cgi-bin/tcb/tcb.pl?noframes;read=548572
I will be answering that in due course. I think its pretty clear thats where the trouble started today.
Now, talk to Gene and resolve your differences.
Take care
David
PS - I have more sample dice if you are still interested.
