I don't frequent the board as often as I would like, other commitments keep me busy. Many of you who know me from meeting me or through my writings are aware I am against slabbing casino chips.

I have a difficult time understanding WHY we continually debate those who believe (or pretend to believe) slabbing is good for the hobby. The entire issue has been debated at nausea. Both positions of the issue can be found if one makes an effort of researching the archives. Yet we continue to "fight" to aggravate ourselves knowing full well we are not going to change anyone's position.

I learned early in life NEVER to debate or discuss with anyone who has all the answers or knows everything about ANY issue. To debate with that type of individual only establishes that one must be very lonely or have nothing better to do.

From a scan of some of the archive posts I notice certain individuals make derogatory comments about other individuals. They utilize a tatic of name calling and/or pushing the emotional buttons to obtain a reaction. What do "we" do? - why we react of course. People a tactic perceived IS NO TACTIC at all. If one ignores these individuals and their posts no debate is necessary. They will go away, unsatisfied, in their attempt to disrupt this forum.

We should get back to using this board for the purpose it was intended and ignore those who disrupt ONLY for the sake of disruption.

Dennis Shoop and family I am VERY SORRY for your loss. The wife of your cousin is VERY BLESSED to have a man like you watching over their family.
