I've only run across two designs of these Paul-son samples with graphics all the way to the edge. This style chip was made for one California club, I believe, but they delaminated and had to be replaced. Has anyone seen any different samples or know of other real chips using this method? Since the two chips have different size logo boxes, I'm assuming they were made at different times and there may be other designs (denominations?) as well. However, now that I look at them, the blue chip logo was probably reduced to give the mermaid a place to rest her arm.
Note that the Hat&Cane logo is printed on the outer layer as well as being molded into the chip. You can see the white lines on the edge views showing the laminated layers.
The chip on the left is for trade, or for sale for $5 delivered.
