I lost half of my big stack on a draw. I flopped a flush draw and also had an outside straight draw with middle cards to go with the flush draw. On the turn I picked up an additional gut shot straight draw with my face cards too. Lots of betting and raising going on and I missed it.
Then like two hands later I had 44 in the hole and flop came with two nines. Other guy had a 9 and had trips. I was on a flush draw (I think) and was trying to run it down. He caught a King on the turn for a boat. On the river, I got lucky (or unlucky) and got my trip 4's for the boat. We capped it on the river and I was toast.
I should have known better that even though I had a boat, it was the lowest possible boat out there. Any KK, K9, other other set would have given other player a bigger full-house. I should have realized that and got away with just the one bet lost instead of four.
