Scott,
Since unlike some of your earlier posts, this one has an air of sincerity to it, I have a few questions which I think are legitimate to ask in the interest of furthering the discussion.
1. Have you found anybody who is grading casino chips who is knowledgeable enough about them that you would trust their opinion?
2. If so, who are they and which grading company do they work for?
3. If I submit a casino chip to the person and company you recommend to use for grading, can I be sure that the person you recommend there will be the one actually doing the grading and not some minimum wage employee?
4. What can I do if I decide later that I'd prefer to have the chip removed from the case?
5. Have you ever successfully removed a slabbed chip from its case without breaking it?
6. If I discover that the grade assigned to an expensive chip that I purchase does not properly describe the condition of the chip, what recourse do I have? It seems to me that if the seller paid for the grade, they're the ones who have a contract with the grading company--therefore they are the only ones with any recourse. As a buyer, the grade really doesn't offer me any protection whatsoever.
There are lots more questions, but those will give us something to kick around.
