I agree on all points!
I carhge only $0.80 for a single chip/token when selling on ebay and only $1.10 fro a silver strike. Any additional items shipped in the same package cost only an additional $0.55 each. Many items that I see on ebay I will plain just not bid on beause the postage is too high and even when so lower shipping rates, the items are sent loose in a standard envelope! I always either use a padded insert or a padded mailer.
Slabs: If you want someone else 2c on an expenseive item other than the seller, it is well worth the additonal cost. Just like dealers/buyers, there are good 3rd party services, so-so 3rd party services and out right frauds. The so-so people will NOT do casino encapsulating until the big boys do, and as long as they clubs stance is the way it is, they will never enter the market. This only leaves the bad companies and no matter what the club does, they will do what they darn well please. The club can continue to drawl a (very small) fence around the good companies with no effect on the bad ones. End effect is that the clubs is creating a lot of ill will among a large number of collectors who have grown up with 3rd party services and will not enter our market until we do so as well.
Thanks for posting a well resasoned argument!
