Check out the Work & Family column in the Personal Finance section of today's Wall Street Journal. It talks about how telecommuters working at home are becoming frightening for mail carriers because, due to the loneliness, the mail delivery event is one chance for the stay at home worker to actually interact with a live human. Apparently being invited in for coffee and a chat is outside the expectations of a mail carrier.
Now just imagine if the telecommuter is a chipper (as I am). The anticipation is multiplied exponentially, but the the heck with being social --- just give me that dang package!!
Check out the article if you c.... wait ... what's that sound? .... the mailtruck! Later.
