If it is your first visit to the area, don't pass on the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon while you are there.

One of the best "values" in Vegas is the package from the Stratosphere that includes dinner, the American Superstars show, and tower tickets all for around $40 (should be a coupon in the book in your room) and the Strat isn't a bad place to play.

For a romantic evening (if you are traveling with a campanion), dinner at the Eiffel tower overlooking the Bellagio fountains is hard to beat although dinner at Strat at sunset or the Venetian followed by a Gondola ride is a close second.

I've never seen a bad show in Vegas and you should try and take in a couple while you are there.

Lots of free stuff to see and do on the strip and just visiting the hotels is a sightseeing trip in itself.

Of course, you could always go to a bar :(
