I'm pretty sure there was never any gambling there. It was a well known spot but was never the subject of any raids or mentioned in any news stories. I know a few people who used to go there, and they thought it was just an ordinary German restaurant.

I do keep an eye out for chips that match the logo in the center of your postcard though!
