from years ago ... but those are not the same thing as coins being submitted for grading/authentication to 3rd party slabbing companies in today's world.
In other words, if you disagreed with the grade on your silver dollar from GSA, you couldn't break it out of the case and re-submit it to GSA for another opinion ... like you can with other slabbed coins. You could break it out of the GSA case and submit it over and over again to ICGS, or PGS or a half-cozen other slabbing companies for their opinions (and pay their fees each time).
Let me ask you this question; Do you have any "CC" silver dollars purchased from GSA that you feel were undergraded or overgraded?
