Dear Mr. Black,
I have been thinking of one. Difficult to do. I don’t use the word, because it is confusing when having my “US Horse Blanket”, collection graded.
My collection of old Vegas chips is very special to me, and I would hate to have the PCGS, NGN, ICG, ANACS, SEGS, PCI, or any of those other services, messing with my investment.
I do not believe they have the expertise, or Authority to grade my precious chips. The word you use is fine. I communicate with others in the hobby, with a more explanatory vernacular. But, who wants to hear my analytical ramblings?
When asked by some one in the hobby to help, I do. I consider it an ethical responsibly to help people in this hobby, & never charge fees.
In time your Club, & this hobby will have the equipment we need for finding fakes, doctored chips, and other garbage.
As you can see, I can’t replace your word.
I do look at slabbing as “oxymoronic” and am against it the Casino Chip Collecting Hobby.
By technical definition, of the protection act, you can’t slab chips. One can only provide that illusion.
Sorry, for the long-winded answer, but, I think we are on the same page.
V/R

*THIS CHIP IS NEW, AND WORTH A LOT OF @#$%##@%&*(() MONEY. I DON'T NEED A GRADING SERVICE TO TELL ME THAT.
