Posts:
Ive been reading this board for 3+ years and I have always found it to be interesting to say the least. There are posts from some people that I never miss, and there are some posts from people that I just want to shout SHUT UP!! or get a life to. But in the end if I dont have a question, an answer, something informative or contructive to say I just dont post. Maybe others should have the same policy
Chip Slabbing:
Dont have any, dont want any, dont know if I've ever bought from someone who's on "the list".
(I must admit though I do have a silver dollar from "Binions Hoard" that was given to me as a gift that's in a slab)
Research the slab issue and make your choice. If it's important to you to be on the pledge list, add your name. If you're against slabbing in general but dont agree with the pledge, that's OK too. Put your chips in slabs if you want, that is YOUR CHOICE.. to each their own I say!!
Chip price guides:
I would like to see a cd version of a chip guide with pictures as well as descriptions and values. Charge for the current(base) guide and do updates yearly and charge for the updates as well. No authors get stiffed and it will a continued source of income every year in lieu of every other year or three.
Cliques:
Is there a "clique or cliques" in the club or on this BB. Sure there are. Every organization has them. I like the HOOTERS chips and will continue to collect them.. so I'm in the will collect clique and not the never will clique.
See what I mean??? Some members are close in thought, interests and friendships and form a type of "clique". I've never been excluded from anything or by anyone to my knowledge.
I have'nt met a lot of the chippers in this club or on this board but all that I have been acquainted with in any form I can speak very highly of.
A club is made up up members good and bad. You get out of it what you put into it. Think about that when you are posting and or complaining about he said, old guard vs new guard, they are doing this and that, etc. Make changes for the betterment of your hobby. Volunteer at the convention, see the comraderie of fellow chippers. You'll be glad you did. That's what I'm gonna do at the next convention, I challenge others to do the same.
I look forward to your replies
