Would prefer wood (cedar or redwood). They need to be round, between 18 and 24-inches; flush mount and no decay. Would prefer 1950s manufacture.

I'm redoing the rear of the house 1950s Key West, and though all my lower windows and sliding glass door hurricane shutters are accordion folding type, I built my 4 gable end window shutters board and batten, 1"x6" T&G, to blend in with the new upper siding i replaced. I was able to locate some aluminum louvered shutter doors (1950s w/ copper latches and all ) for the roof escapes should I ever need to get out thru the roof when the big one comes.

I'll work on the front of the house come this winter.. too hot up there this time of year.

This is the last major repair, anyway. Built the house myself 25-years ago (took me 2-1/2 years to complete).
