what happens to the large sum of money that club members had raised to underwrite and initiate this category several years ago to off-set the expenses of giving awards in our classification?

In a way, I can reluctantly understand ANA's position. There are several exhibit categories (not only casino chips and tokens) that are being considered to be dropped due to lack of entries in those specialized fields ... chips and tokens is just one of them.
