I'm all for using some/all of the Building Fund to create & improve our "Virtual Club". How about merging the ChipBoard & Club Board, making most sections open to the public, include on-line versions of the relevant price guides (which could be updated frequently, at minimal cost and loss of trees/needless postage). Speaking of which, paid members could have either free access(included with Membership), or a certain # of included searches - while non-members could have a few free to try it out, then a pay-as-you-go system. Yes, I know it would initially be an incredible amount of money to start it - but the Building Fund is sitting there...
Question: would a more robust website, with accessible on-line price guides further the goals of the more than an actual HQ building?
-Here's a feature I'd REALLY like to see: Members could have the ability to enter their entire collection into a secure database. Once there, they could follow the value of their entire collection; as the price guides are updated with new values!!! I know, it's just "Pretzel Logic" at-work...
