Does anyone have any information on "Imperial House Motels" ?

I have a $1 metal token, slightly larger than the normal $1 token, from the Imperial House Motels.

I am not sure if it is a slot token, or a "good for" token, but it does say "$1.00 Value."

There is no city or state referenced, but since it says MOTEL, I assume it is American.

Any help or info is appreciated.
