I haven't collected coins since I was in high school. I have just a few nice condition coins, but no real good stuff like you are showing. I like chip collecting better because condition or a finger print is not a big deal. Though I must admit I do get a little disappointed when I buy a chip and it arrives cracked or chipped and I wasn't expecting that.
You asked me how I scan stuff...I don't. I take a photo with my camera. A shot in my driveway or on the bathroom sink gives me a better picture.
