Here is a link to an eBay offering of a sample run of Borland knock-offs. As I understand the scenario, a member was instrumental in having these developed by a chip distributor by the name of Palm Imports. Palm Imports had the chips made in China, and it would appear that there is little regard to copyright infringement.
These "sample" sets being offered on eBay appear to be made with the Blue Chip Company's (BCC) flower mold. And unless refutiated by BCC, they appear to have been made without BCC's approval.
The strongest arguement thus far for the legitimacy of producing these knock-offs, is that Bill Borland himself did the same thing!
I guess the logic is that two wrongs make a right.
Here then is the link to the eBay offering (be sure to visit all the auctions by this seller to see individual chips offerings): http://cgi.ebay.com/6-Dunes-Commemorative-Casino-Chip-Set-Las-Vegas-LE_W0QQitemZ150018856024QQihZ005QQcategoryZ63756QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
