Doug,
No, I would never sue someone just for fun. However, I would sue one or a group of individuals should they attempt or intended to violate my freedom of speech or that of others. The Civil War was fought over people believing Slavery was correct. It was not and the people that stood up for and fought for the rights of every person no matter what color or race were people that were really for the good of all people.
I really don't know or care if Archie is jealous of my collection. Who cares about Archie period? Again what I care about is the right to display a GENUINE chip that you own in any manner you choose. Again, you don't have to look at it. You don't have to like it. And you certainly don't have to buy it. Buy should you decide you would like to do any of the three, you have that right or option.
Tell me, who does that hurt other than someone who's trying to fleece another hobbyist by over grading or selling a reproduced or fantasy chip?
The against slabbing group has made no real positive argument against slabbing other than they think it will artificially drive prices up. Again I believe what they really fear, is it will drive their over graded over produced inventory down.
At the convention there were numerous chips on display housed in plexi-glass. Why were those allowed on the convention floor? Because they were not graded or for sale?? They make this ridiculous analogy to beanie babies. Apples to Oranges.
Their argument is weak, it will remain weak. Best of luck to them. And as I stated before, if you look over that list of people that oppose slabbing, it clearly lacks the most sophisticated and substantial collectors in the hobby of unique and valuable chips. Why don't they support the anti-slabbing movement?
Fear is that of the little people. Don’t let a few take away your freedom to choose, because that’s what they are really doing.
